Paint Effects

This first set was carried out in the entrance area of an office in the centre of Edinburgh. It was painted using oil based glazes and various tools such as softening brushes.

These were demonstration panels to show various types of marble. Painted onto card with a base of oil based eggshell, it was then painted in glazes and softened. It was then shaded to give a three dimensional feel to the work 6

Woodgrained doors. These are a set of flat doors which were painted to look like quartered oak. Panelling was then painted in to give the illusion of  three dimensions. Carried out in oil based glazes on an eggshell base. Various tools were used such as check roller, flogging brush and softner brush. 9

More marbling in a bathroom painted directly onto the wall. Faux panelling was then painted onto the marbling. 11

These doors are in a tenement stair in Edinburgh. Seven main doors in total were painted in the stair. It was painted to like quartered oak.
